Wednesday 3/14 Open one more day 9:30-4

We'll be open today with limited skiing and lots of snowshoeing.
​The three pictures are from Malcolm's grooming trail check this morning. There is still just enough snow out there to enjoy a bunch of laps around the inner trails. By the end of the day though, it's probably going to be gone.
There are bare spots popping up, but nothing you can't ski around. This was the big challenge when our kids young. How far can we ski without leaving snow? It was kind of fun, and the kids loved finding a route. I'd sometimes follow a little skier well off the trail just to keep our skis on something white. It's nowhere near like that here, but that's spring skiing. It's lovely while it lasts and doesn't take itself too seriously.
The joy of this and the conundrum - is the weather. At this time of year, there are those super warm days we both love and hate. There's the beautiful blue sky, temperatures where you can ski in a long sleeve t-shirt and a nothing beats a nice picnic spread on the sun deck. If this resonates with you, come today because tomorrow it will be all gone - again. We always welcome a surprise March snow, (ok, some of us do) but looking ahead it doesn't look too promising.
