We are open for snowshoeing again today on all the inner trails. Malcolm is working hard on closed trails to cover bare spots and fill in where rivers of water ran down the trails, but it's a huge job especially when we lost a lot of snow.
The picture below is where the small stream that normally bubbles on by minding its own business burst its banks and covered the trail. When the water receded we were left with these beautiful curtains of ice. You can't find this spot on skis, but you can find it on snowshoes. There is a lot to see out in the woods, taking it a little slower lets you find these interesting places. We will be flipping on the lights tomorrow night from 5-9 for some night snowshoeing.
