Daily Trail Report

Warm weather and some squishy granular snow later in the day.

3/9/2021

Picture
Open from 9-5. 27km open for skiing, both skate and classic. 31km open for snowshoeing and fat bikes. Loose frozen granular in the morning will be changing over to wet granular as the temperatures warm up.
The skiing will be faster in the morning and much slower in the later afternoon as the sun and warm weather work on the snow. If you are skate skiing today come earlier rather than later, you will enjoy it so much more. It's going to be a warm day today and the next few days. This is classic spring skiing weather, with changeable granular conditions. In the old days we'd say it was klister skiing, but as most people don't wax anymore, now we recommend bringing F4 or maxiglide. If you don't have any, we sell it in the ski shop. It is a must have at this time of year.
