Thursday, February 8th - Classic Spring Conditions

Malcolm sent these two pictures from his morning grooming run. Today is starting off cold so as expected it has taken a lot of passes to groom up a nice frozen granular snow. Today everything is groomed flat, no tracks but it won't be long before the temperature hits above freezing. Today's high is going to be very warm, so this snow will soften considerably quite quickly. It's going to be soft by late morning.  It's looking pretty nice out there.

19km open for snowshoeing (both the red and yellow snowshoe trails are open again)
Loose frozen granular changing to wet granular later today.
