The view out of the window in the back of the shop is looking better. There isn't much snow out there yet, but it is cold so the little we have should hang in there for a while. It's not much, but it's a start. We're keeping an eye on another storm coming our way, but at this time it doesn't look like much to get excited about. Things change on a dime though so we never rule it out until it's over. I'm getting calls and emails asking about when we plan to open. The quick answer; there is no plan. Nordic operators are some of the most flexible folks on the planet. We get ready, then we wait. We can open within a few hours of getting enough snow though; so like Le Mans drivers back in the day - we are waiting on the line, muscles tense, adrenaline high, holding our breath and listening for the gun. The minute it sounds I will send Malcolm out in the snowcat, Bob into the rental shop, and the rest of us will turn up the heat, unlock the doors, bake some cookies and wait for you to arrive.
