daily trail report

Spring conditions are on the way

2/16/2022

PictureWest River skiers learning to skate at Monday's practice
22km open for skiing
25km open for snowshoeing
Loose frozen granular turning to spring snow later in the day. Groomed flat currently.

Today is going to be MUCH warmer than the past few days. Malcolm groomed the inner trails this morning to tenderize the good granular snow we have. And then he broke a wheel. He's probably not going to get to the Pines Boynton loop for a bit but things are warming up fast. The snow will be getting much softer as the day warms up and it will all be fine even without grooming.
Temperatures will be in the high 30's by mid-day. Skate skiing will be best early, classic will be better after 11 or so.

If you have any questions about the conditions, please don't hesitate to call ahead. 802-824-3933. The guys in the shop are always happy to talk to you.
