Some days it SNOWS, and some days it just kinda snows.

Outer Loki's is finally open for the first time this year. Ski it while you can!

Today was a 'kinda snow' day. After a lot of promises the storm itself was a bit of a bust. We did get enough snow to cover the bare spots, and the ice floes but it is a very dry snow so it's not sticking well. This presented a grooming challenge. We spent the day either out the trails or fixing Yeti who decided to throw some wheels from the treads. It was hard to decide which was more frustrating, lack of heavy snow or the grooming difficulties. At the end of the day Malcolm and I decided just to be frustrated and move on. So here we are. 
We will be open Saturday with 25k for skiing and snowshoeing. We have groomed everything flat so it can set up overnight. Hopefully the snow will stick better and we can move on to part two. The second part of the plan is to set tracks where we can in the morning. The cover is thin but it's enough. Boynton run will be available skiing clockwise only. The hill is an UP only proposition for this weekend. The Riverside Farm trails are finally open out to the end of Loki's. We'll see how long it lasts.
