Open today from 9-4:30  Today should be a good spring skiing day for most of the day
15km groomed for classic and skate skiing
19km open for snowshoeing Both the red and yellow trails are open for woods snowshoeing. 
Loose frozen granular - groomed snow. Skiing on classic spring skiing conditions. 

The first picture is the other spot the tree splits the trail. You would be right in thinking I really like these spots. This is on Viking Run. Beautiful old stone walls and farm roads define this part of our trail system.  You can see there's nice snow out there still. There are a few bare spots opening up on our trails but they are easy to ski around. Cover is getting thin in a few spots, but there is still good cover in most places.  We'll keep working on it as long as we have enough snow to ski on. 

Malcolm went out really early this morning to go around and around with the blue groomer. He's pulling up some really nice granular snow. That's his hand in the middle picture showing how soft the snow is getting already this morning. By opening time temperatures will be above freezing and the trails will soften considerably. Skiing will be best earlier today as the showers that we are expecting will probably arrive in early afternoon. Give the sun a little time to work, and maybe plan to ski between 10 and 2 for the best skiing pushing that out as far as possible.  Ski until it starts to rain then maybe come in for a nice hot drink and some happy conversation.
