Saturday, 2/17 No night skiing tonight - but a very exciting update on a new trail!

A nice little bit of snow falling this morning was an unexpected treat. Now if we can just get Mother Nature to give us one good slamming snow storm we'd all be super happy! Until then we will make do with an exciting addition to our open trails. 

Happy News! Last year a new house build required that we make some changes to our trails. We closed off The Chute and rerouted Roundabout across the ridge to create a new loop that we are very excited about. Unfortunately the very difficult water situation had been a real problem for us, so we couldn't open the new Roundabout or any other trails over on the Beaver Pond side - until today! While not totally open yet, because of the dreaded Beaver Pond chasm, we have been able to work some serious shoveling magic and have opened a fun loop.  Roundabout is open in one direction to experienced skiers and snowshoers for an out and back ski. This trail requires skiers to have good control when skiing down hill. There is a fabulous descent back to the little cabin, with a great view of Magic Mountain in the background. The pictures below are all on Roundabout. It's a really sweet trail which we hope you will enjoy.  Today just might be a good picnic in the cabin day.
