daily trail report

Open at 10am so Malcolm can spend more time grooming the grooming.

3/15/2021

Update 8:30am
Malcolm is grooming just the inner trails this morning. Skiing will be hard and fast on a loose frozen granular surface. New skiers should consider snowshoeing until things warm up a bit and the sun can help soften the snow. If you rent, you can switch from skis to snowshoes or the other way around with no charge. So, starting on snowshoes to check things out then changing to skis is no big deal.

7am We had another deep freeze last night. Temperatures dropped into the single digits which freezes things up significantly. Malcolm is heading out in the groomer to see how the snow will groom up. If he can get a nice layer of loose granular groomed, then we will open for skiing. If it's too hard we'll call it a day and wait for the temperatures to warm up.
This is spring... it is a day by day, sometimes minute by minute thing. I will update here as soon as I hear from him.
