We're adding to the snow depth an inch at a time. 2" on Monday night another inch last night. It all makes for some nice powder granular mix skiing. We have 10k+ of trails open for skiing. Malcolm will be out grooming again later this morning as he checks on the stubborn wet spots. He's hoping that this cold weather has had some effect. If he can, he'll close the Pine's Run to Ray's loop today. Fingers crossed.
It's cold this morning. Skiing with a nice insulating layer is a must. Protecting your face is also prudent. You do create heat when cross-country skiing, but it is good to plan your clothing so you can add or remove a layer as needed.
