daily trail report

Open at 9 am with really nice conditions

3/5/2023

20km open today with nice spring powder skiing (you will want F4 or Maxiglide today)
32km open for snowshoeing
Classic skiing is still better than skate. You can skate, but it will be a lot more work with this soft snow

Malcolm is out grooming this morning. We got 14" of snow from Friday night through Saturday night.  This was enough to allow us to finally open Boynton Run. That trail has not been open since Christmas! We'll ski it while we can. Temperatures are going to be above freezing for most of the week. We don't know how that will affect Boynton, which has developed its own weird quirks with water. So, if Boynton is one of your favorite trails, come for a visit while it has good cover.

Bit hint: The snow will be sticky today as temperatures warm up a bit. So, if you have glide wax, bring it along.

What's with that first picture? If you go out on a lesson with Jane, and you are a silly 8 year old, you will learn how to make a snow face... just a little bonus lesson on a busy Saturday.
