Loose frozen granular snow in the morning. It will be fast until the temperature gets above 32 degrees. Then it will soften up quickly.  Temperatures will be in the mid 40's today, so things will be quite soft later. Typically spring skiing is just this; hard and fast in the morning softening up to wet and squishy in the afternoon. Soft wet spring snow is so much fun to ski on. Today is a good picnic day, with the beautiful blue sky and warm sun, it's a perfect day to pack a lunch, find a picnic table and have a trailside lunch. Maybe add a little wine and cheese for good measure....
