Update for Friday, St Patrick's day.
More of the same... There are a lot of trees down on the trails. Dana has tagged out with Bob who will now be out there with Malcolm. Bob and Malcolm will be working on opening Boynton Run in hopes we can open it up soon.
We are open from 9-5
14km open for skiing and snowshoeing so far. Fingers crossed that we can open more trails without having to cut trees.
Groomed, packed powder. Nice tracks and a good firm skate lane.
The rest is open for snowshoeing but it's deep!
Thursday: We have been grooming and grooming, moving trees, cutting trees, plowing berms at trail crossings all for today. Today is going to be the best day of the week, with temperatures holding for a bit.
The snow is amazing. It's deep! Malcolm has groomed and tracked all the inner trails and will be headed out to Secret Meadows and the Riverside farm trails after clearing a few more trees. At this elevation we got a lot of snow that became heavier as the temperatures warmed up. Trails we groomed Wednesday night had some trees on them by Thursday morning. It's slow going but he's going to keep opening trails as he can.
