Spring is everywhere. The weather is all over the place, going cold then really warm then back to cold. This morning is no different. It's 29 degrees right now, but it will be over 32 soon. Skiing will be fast in the morning but the sun will do its thing and it will soften up before the unattractive weather comes in later this afternoon.
We are open and skiing until then. Malcolm is out grooming this morning making nice loose granular snow for today. We'll have 14km open for skiing, all the trails are open for snowshoeing.
Looking ahead: Tomorrow isn't looking all that great. We'll most likely be closed tomorrow and then we'll see what Sunday brings. We're hoping to be open for one more day, and there's a very good chance Sunday will be it. It's hard to close when we have this much snow but folks are digging into their gardening catalogs and down south, you know southern New England, the gardens are already popping. As much as we love spring skiing, not everyone wants to come out to ski. Personally, I find it easier when all the snow just disappears and Mother Nature makes the end of winter decision for us. But right now, we have so much snow, it's hard to decide. So, we'll see how it goes. That's a long way around us saying, we don't know yet. Saturday may help with the decision. We'll see...
