daily trail report

Friday, March 10th

3/10/2023

16km open for skiing. Both skate and classic are good
30km open for snowshoeing
Packed, Groomed snow. A little powdery, mostly granular turning soft later this morning
Too soft for fat bikes.

Groomed spring snow. It's not powder, it's not granular, it's not sticky. Yet. Temperatures will be warm later today, which will make things softer. Typically spring snow is harder in the morning, softening up as temperatures warm things up. The sun will work to soften things up, so if you want to skate ski, morning is better.
Conditions will vary a little through the woods. Any spots that get a lot of sun will be softer, and a little more granular but overall, the skiing is very nice.
