The snow is very sticky. It's sticking to everything including the drag. And then there are the big branches that fell last night. It's taking Malcolm some time to get the trails cleared. We are open with minimal skiing on the just the inner trails, or snowshoeing on all the trails if you feel like breaking through the snow. For early season skiing, this is probably enough until your legs get back into winter shape. Malcolm has rolled the trails, but he won't be setting tracks until it gets colder. Updated 6:30 pm. Malcom was able to set some really nice tracks later in the day. He'll head out again in the morning to keep working in the trails. If temperatures tonight stay below freezing for a while, he will be able to add more terrain to our open trails. Currently we have about 8k open.
