At this time of year, night grooming makes sense

Open today from 9-5.  25km open for classic and skate skiing, 31km open for snowshoeing and fat bikes. Loose frozen granular snow in the morning will turn to wet granular by mid morning. Skate skiers and bikers will find the best snow earlier in the day. It's going to be another nice, but warm day today. 

The picture today was taken last night. Malcolm went out and made a grooming run on the inner trails and over to the little cabin and back. He was able to set some nice tracks. This time of year is tricky when the temperatures rise so far above freezing then fall into the teens at night. If you can hit it right, you can groom up some nice granular that will set nicely overnight. And if you are lucky, you may catch a nice sunset too.
