After listening to the wind howling last night we expected to find lots work to do out on the trails. Usually wind targets our lights and drops a tree on a section that is particularly tricky to get at. Or it decided to drop a nasty snag that takes more than Malcolm to remove. Wind is tricky that way, you just never know what you will find. Imagine our surprise when the first grooming runs found nothing on the trails but snow.
It's really beautiful out there this morning. The snow is still perfect and the tracks are sweet. Event the temperature is going to warm up to a nordic friendly 16 degrees today. It's a good day for a ski or snowshoe. And maybe a cookie and a cup of hot Vermont apple cider.
