daily trail report

A cold start will warm up later in the morning.

1/21/2022

Picture
Open Saturday and Sunday from 9am-4pm.
The morning temperatures will be cold. Plan ahead if you are coming early. Dress in layers, avoid wearing cotton next to the skin and have a good warm hat. A warm head helps keep the rest of you warm. If you are new to xc skiing, maybe wait a bit. By late morning temperatures will be more friendly.
For the weekend:
15km inter-connected trails groomed with tracks for skiing (classic is best still, it's a bit soft for skate skiing)
19km open for snowshoeing.
Still too soft for fat bikes.
We will be baking cookies and making soup for the weekend.
If you have not read the covid page yet, please do. It explains how we're operating. There are things you will want to know.
No night skiing this weekend. Temperatures will be too cold. It's just not that much fun when it's only going to be 3 degrees.
