The allure of our outermost trails

2/12/2025

Since getting Odin's Run and Odin's Ring fully groomed last week, I've been pleasantly surprised by how many people have ventured out to the far reaches of our trail network. To the north, we've got Loki's Lookout, which is real hidden gem. Odin's Ring marks our easternmost groomed trail. It takes some folks a good hour to traverse Boynton, connect with Roundabout, skirt the Beaver Pond, and head up Odin's Run before connecting with Odin's Ring. It's well worth the effort. The forest is beautiful out there and the terrain makes for some fun skiing.

Near the junction of Roundabout and Boynton, Viking owns a small hut. It's a great place to take a break en route to or from Odin's. It's not heated, but it is a place to sit down and get out of the elements for a little bit. I enjoyed seeing some people in there with their packed lunch a few days ago. With 22 kilometers of trail open, you can certainly make a day of exploring all of our trails.
