We gave all of our trails a fresh groom yesterday. Skiers reported that the conditions were great. Snowshoers enjoyed the 2k loop around our inner trails.
It's 34 degrees at 7am, and is forecast to get up into the 40's today. As a general rule, it's not a great idea to groom trails when it's above freezing. We're heeding that rule. The trails are in good shape, so the skiing should be excellent, getting slower as the day goes on. Leave your heavy layers at home. Our next Nordic Night is slated for Saturday, March 1. That's when temps are expected to drop again. There's also a bit of snow in the forecast. Now that the days are getting longer, we'll likely shift Nordic Night to a little later in the evening. Stay tuned.
