10:45 UPDATE - Bill is out on the groomer and reports that the snow is softening up nicely.  Come enjoy the fresh corduroy!!  Intermittent sunshine also!

It's a gray day.  Late winter, the snow on the side of the roads is brown, you still need to watch where you step to avoid ice, just a gray day.  The snowy woods at Viking are still bright and beautiful.  The trails are firm, dare I say icy.  Snowshoes will provide great traction on a day like today, or skiing along the River Loop and enjoying the mountain views.  25k of trails open today from 9-4:30.  Hot soup and grilled cheese available in the Cafe.
