On the edge of our seats.

Ok, so I know and appreciate the value of living in the moment. But, it's hard not to get a little excited about the 10-day forecast showing lots of new snow and highs in the mid 20's every day. I've been disappointed by forecasts falling short of their snowfall estimates before, but today, I am eagerly anticipating some more wonderful skiing and snowshoeing in the days and weeks ahead.

This is all to say that I'm not going to put a lot of time into grooming our trails today. They are fast and firm, maybe a little bit crunchy in a few places. But, it's still darn beautiful out there. Any snow we get tomorrow should bring us back to the packed powder base we've come to appreciate this winter.  Today, I'll change the oil in our groomer (we've already logged over 100 hours of grooming this winter!!). On Friday, three of us will put in a day of trail maintenance. By the weekend, we hope to have all but a couple of our available kilometers of trails open and groomed.
