Mon Dec 9: faster skiing until snow begins

Up until now we've been skiing on powder and packed powder but yesterday's temp was warm enough to put some moisture into the snow that froze overnight.  This morning's snow will be faster than yesterday's until the forecasted new snow covers it.  Some forecasts have snow showers as early as this morning, they all have snow during the afternoon.  Unless this is your first winter skiing you have probably skied on snow like this morning's, it's just not the heavenly powder/packed powder than we had our first 9 days open.

We are still skiing with 21k open, 15k groomed and tracked yesterday.   All the typical early season/low snow pack warnings are still in effect.  You might see dirt, roots, or rocks and need to be able to ski around them.  It's early Dec and we've been skiing for over a week!  Come out and ski today and celebrate post ski with some of Pam's banana bread.

Depending on when the snow switches to rain we are prepping for closing Wednesday, and might even have to close Tuesday.  We really want to conserve this snow and offer the most skiing days possible this winter so please understand as we try to deal best with rain and warm temperatures, we'll act in the best interest of more ski days.  COME SKI TODAY!
