CLOSED Tuesday 12/30/25

Viking will remain closed Tuesday, 12/30, due to high winds and lots of ice. 

We will be clearing fallen trees and branches from the trails and working the snowpack, hopefully creating a layer of soft skiable snow on top.  Some but not all of yesterday's rain drained through the snow as it fell, but where the snowpack still had moisture from the rain it froze  into ice as the low temperatures raced in late yesterday. 

In addition to the tree clearing we'll get the machines and drags on the surface today.  That grooming work and the chance for a dusting of snow today and the forecasted couple of inches of snow tomorrow would really help us create a ski surface that is fun for all. Let's hope we get even a little new snow to freshen things up!

Stay tuned for updates and thanks to the tireless trail crew, working hard to get the trails back to Status: Fun ASAP.
