We're open today with very limited skiing on just the inner trails. Currently Wolf Path, Norseman, Viking to the 5 way, Night Link and the Field Loop are groomed and open.
2:30 pm Boynton is open!
1:00p.m. We've been grooming all morning, and at this point in time Pine's Run is open all the way to Boynton Road, for a nice out and back. We're now working on Boynton run so you can make a long loop. More updates to come!
1:00a.m. The snow is taking a lot of passes but it's grooming up to a very nice sugar snow. Once we fix a broken part Malcolm and I will try to open Pines Run to the gate.
Skiing is much faster than it has been for the past month. We are skiing on a loose granular surface with a small amount of powder mix. Malcolm has been out for the past two hours working to open up some trails for skiing but it's taking a long time to work with what is on the ground. The wet sleet froze up solid last night. It's going to take a lot of time to break through, but we will.
Snowshoeing will be the best choice for beginners today. Experienced skiers will find that they have to use some edge control with this snow, something we haven't had to do with all the soft powder. You will get great glide, that's for sure!
If you have any questions or concerns about skiing today, please don't hesitate to call the ski shop and talk to someone. We will be in at 9am and are happy to talk to you. W always want your day here to be great, so call if you need to chat. 802-824-3933.
