Here are 2 different ways to save some money if you plan to ski Viking next winter. You decide which plan is best for you but decide soon as we sell these only in March and then again in September. The passes are only available here through our website, www.vikingnordic.com.
•A. Discount Pass Books

The booklets contain 15 universal and transferable trail passes good any day in the next 5 years. You can use the passes as you want to: bring a carload (up to 5 passes are redeemable out of the same book a day) once a year for 3 years or come 15 times next year by yourself, it's up to you. This is a great family idea and handy if you have a house in the area and get guests in the winter. And if we have a bad snow year you're protected, the passes are good for 5 years. Cost $180 during March, $200 in September. After September 30 we sell a 5 pass book for $80.
•B. Season Pass
This is a traditional season pass, it is yours and yours only, and it gets you onto Viking's trails as many times as you want next year all season long. And it comes with a great bonus: you get one day of free skiing at 28 other XC areas. This is a great way to sample other areas and add some variety to your skiing. Cost is $150 during March, $170 during September, and $200 after September 30.
Which is right for you? here's some help from us:
The discount book is probably better for you if:
•- When you come to Viking you bring family or friends
•- you only ski Viking 2-3 times during the season but come back to ski with us most years
•- you wish we had a family season pass
The season pass is probably for you if:
•- you ski 12 times or more during the year
•- you like to sample other ski areas too
We have people who love either passes, both save you money and both are really great deals this month and pretty good deals next September. Both are available only on-line www.vikingnordic.comn

More info on the discount trail pass and season pass
What does transferable mean?
Transferable means you'll be able to give the passes to others - friends, family, people you want to introduce to cross country skiing at Viking. And there is no rule that says you have to say how cheap the trail pass was. However on any given day only 5 passes may be transferred out of a single booklet.
How do I buy the passes?
To order go to www.vikingnordic.com and click on the news item about the passes and buy through our secure shopping cart
What is the youth or senior rate on the discount boklet?
These prices are discounted such that there is just one rate regardless of age. That is why we call them universal.
How does it work if I ski half a day?
Because of the steep discounts these passes are not time dependent, that is, one pass is required no matter what time of day you start.
When will I get my pass?
The pass booklets will be mailed in November. We will contact you by email when we ship them. The season pass holders will get a receipt / reminder next November to come in and get your picture taken for your pass.
Why don't you offer a family season pass?
We think the discount passes are even better than a family season pass; after all, with the passes you can change who your 'family' is each time you ski.

Viking aims to be Number One with kids!
Viking has been hosting Bill Koch Youth Ski League (BKL) for the past 25 years. West River Nordic BKL skis at Viking for skate practice twice a week.
Each year Viking hosts a night BKL race. Open to any BKL skier, with a class for J1 8th grade skiers.
Come bring your cow bell and your child to ski or come just to see and support the kids. Who knows, with Southern Vermont's tradition of producing Olympic team members you might be seeing a future USA xc skiing star.
Ski to a great destination / picnic spot with scenic views off the south end of Roundabout. Follow the trail up a very gradual hill to the clearing. When you're done eating enjoy the easy coast back down to the trail.
Cookie cards for kids are back. Ski to the snowflake stations, punch your card and earn a cookie.
Come hang out on our sundeck, soak up the rays, have a picnic, take a
break and watch the kids have fun in the field.
Rent a pulk -- a sled for your child that you pull while skiing through Viking Nordic.
